Welcome Message

Shoreline Sharks Youth Hockey

Welcome to the website of Shoreline Sharks Youth Hockey Association

We offer developmental and competitive programs for girls ages 3 -19, and boys at the SandSharks level.

Our team members come from Guilford, Madison, North Branford, East Haven, Branford, Clinton and other towns from Fairfield to Niantic and north to Cromwell. We have no geographic restrictions.

Our program has built a reputation of community, a focus on fundamentals, commitment, hard work, and fun. Combine those ingredients with talented, dedicated coaches, caring managers and supportive parents and you spell success while providing a positive experience for all of our players at beginning through competitive levels.

We are excited about the upcoming season.  For the 2016/2017 season we will offer our SandSharks, "Learn to love hockey" program for boys and girls (3-8) beginners and an expanded Sharks Hockey Development program for girls over 12 years old.  This program is geared towards accelerated development of girls new to hockey in preparation for team play as well as players wishing to improve their core skills of skating, passing and shooting.

Also new for 2016 will be the addition of our Sharks Development Team where girls up to 11 can transition from clinic play to team play.

We will offer competitive travel teams at the U10, U12,  U14 & U19  levels with our Green and White teams competing in the CGHL (CT Girl's Hockey League).

A very exciting announcement starting in 2016 is that the Shoreline Sharks have joined the CHC ( CT Hockey Conference) and we will offer teams at our Black level designation that will play as declared teams and be eligible for the CHC state tournament and USA Hockey Regional and National Tournaments.

Yet another new announcement is the formalization of our goalie training program. We will be using CT Crease to support on ice and off ice for our goalie training which we believe is unique to the Sharks and a model for training goalies.

Our player centric fundamental approach of skill development and inclusion for each player has served us well from the start of the Guilford High School Program to the present day.

This is a program where every player can find a home and where they will be appropriately supported, where participation is fun yet challenging.

We are very proud to have former and present Sharks playing for Guilford HS, Daniel Hand HS (Madison), Branford HS, West Haven HS as well as players such as Edy Moritz playing D III hockey for UMass Boston.

With all the changes noted above what will not change is our focus on family and supporting all of our girls.  This is a cornerstone of who we are and how together we support the girls.

Browse the site, email us and join the excitement.
