In the 2018-2019 season, we had 35 coaches, and 270+ players registered in our Learn to Play Clinic and on 11 travel teams competing in three leagues (NEGHL, CHC, and CGHL).  We’ve become the largest all-girls program in Southern Connecticut.

Our coaches are at the cornerstone of this success.  Aside from their hockey expertise, they are the drivers of development and growth for our players – on and off the ice. They're instrumental in advancing our players to their next level and creating a positive culture that creates lasting memories.

As we head into the 2019-2020 season, our coaching needs continue to evolve to align with registrations and programming.  For the upcoming season we have numerous coaching opportunities that vary in commitment:

  • Learn to Play Clinic: weekend skills clinic, opt-in weekend cross-ice games
  • In-House League: weekend skills session & cross-ice games, new to 2019-2020 season
  • CT-based Travel Teams (U8 – U19): 2-weekday practices/1-2 weekend games
  • Regional Travel Teams (U14 – U19): 2-weekday practices/2-4 weekend games

Most of our coaching positions are unpaid parent volunteers that want to share the hockey experience with their child.  We also recruit non-parent volunteers that want to share their experience and help grow girl’s hockey.

Regardless of the coaching position, our standards are high. We fully endorse USA Hockey’s American Development Model that prioritizes development and fun over the scoreboard. Age-appropriate certification is required along with a background check and SafeSport training.
